Supportland

Supportland is a technology network with the expressed purpose of incentivizing citizens to shop at locally owned businesses. Multiple studies by The Institute of Self-Reliance and Civic Economics have shown that each dollar spent at local independent businesses, on average, generates at least three times more direct local economic benefit than dollars spent at an absentee-owned chain.

Supportland works to keep money in the local economy by functioning as one interactive marketing entity - on scale with any national chain - while maintaining the independence of each member business. The strength of the network relies on several technology tools including a city-wide rewards card with points and reward freely exchanged cross-business,a paper-less punch card, and mechanisms for custom collaborative marketing campaigns.

Our goal is to continually produce tools that will enable community members to collaborate for a more excellent future.
